Banner ads
Every banner on Energy Priorities meets certain guidelines:The banner must promote the conference. It must be linked to a page about the conference on the conference web site, or to a similar page at a conference directory or registration service.
We ask that the banner be professional, animations limited, and in JPG, GIF or PNG formats. Animations, if used at all, should run no longer than 5 seconds, run once and stop without looping. Unprofessional animations (you know the ones) will not be accepted.
Banners appear in the narrow column of the applicable pages, at or near the top of the column, in chronological order.
Our banner space is 160 pixels wide and banners can be any height up to 160 pixels.
The banner appears on pages within a relevant department. The department home page and all articles that are primarily assigned to that department. For example, if your media sponsorship includes displaying your banner in the Buildings department, then it would appear on the main page of Buildings and in most articles in that department. (An article in Energy Policy that has Buildings as its secondary department would not display the banner.)
Banners don't appear on the front page of Energy Priorities, on the administrative pages (subscribe, search, etc.), or in the About section.
Banners are subject to acceptance. They are removed after the conference begins.
We don't currently run banners in Flash, in video, or with sound.
Banner artwork is hosted on Energy Priorities.
Podcast spots
Promotional spots in our podcasts are an alternative to banner ads. Spots are 10 seconds or shorter. A spot runs as pre-roll or post-roll in one podcast episode to be specified when we agree to be a media sponsor.A podcast spot should be provided as a script that will be read by the podcast's host. All spots are subject to acceptance and editing. They will remain in the podcast episode at least until the first day of the conference.
Conference sponsorship spots are available in the Energy Priorities podcast and the Building Priorities Briefing. Spots aren't currently available in the Energy Minute podcast series.
Our logo
Our logos are available for download in the About department of Energy Priorities. They must not be modified or distorted. If you need something specific, please ask. If we feel that the representation of our name or logo reflects poorly on the Energy Priorities brand, we may end the sponsorship immediately.Guidelines are subject to change without notice. These guidelines notwithstanding, the only binding agreement regarding a media sponsorship is a written one. An exchange of clear, simple e-mails should suffice.
