Automated lighting controls are at the intersection of energy efficiency and green building. They cost more than conventional lighting, but can pay for themselves by managing the largest user of electricity in commercial buildings.

Thermostats manage energy use in HVAC, and lighting control systems perform a similar function using daylight sensors and occupancy inputs. By connecting window shades into the system, each room's daylight and artificial light are balanced and controlled.

Can you control other things than lighting (wall sockets etc)? I'd love one big green switch at the front of my house which turns off everything non-essential.
