Green Design in Google SketchUp Highlighted
A couple of weeks ago, the authors of the Sketchup Blog decided to run a friendly competition. They asked readers to submit examples of sustainable work they've done in SketchUp. Six projects were selected -- "They were the most compelling, and most complete, that we received," writes blog author Aidan Chopra.

The six entries highlighted on the blog are:
- Three academic buildings, one in Nepal
- A museum in Colorado
- A multi-purpose training and meeting facility in South Africa
- One residence in California
To read about the entries and see multiple images per project, read: "Green design in SketchUp for Blog Action Day."
Developed for the conceptual stages of design, Google SketchUp is a 3D software drawing system. SketchUp enables users to build and modify 3D models quickly and easily. If used in conjunction with Google Earth, SketchUp allows users to place their models using real-world coordinates and then share them with others using the Google 3D Warehouse.
