Carbon trading is making headlines, with the incoming president talking seriously about a cap and trade system for the United States. But it's not exactly an easily understood discipline. Each answer raises more questions.

What are the latest innovations in carbon trading and finance? Where are the renewable energy market opportunities? How are cleantech investment and carbon trading linked? When will energy efficiency present investment opportunities?

The Wall Street Green Trading Summit VII promises to examine and answer these and other questions about carbon trading and investment. Delegates will have a chance to hear presentations by the presidents or CEOs of 13 companies, including Gridpoint, Acorn Energy and EcoSecurities.

In all, 38 speakers are planned, including representatives of Utilipoint, Fortis, Jane Capital and SJF Ventures.

On the agenda for WSGTS 2009:

  • The New Terrain in DC on Carbon
  • Emissions & Renewable Trading
  • European Union Greenhouse Gas Emission Trading Scheme
  • Carbon Banking
  • REC Market Issues and How To Resolve Them
  • The Nexus of Cleantech & Emissions Trading

The conference is organized by Global Change Associates and Hedge Connection.
