ISSI member Darcy Hitchcock recently returned from a study tour of parts of Denmark and Sweden to understand some of their best practices in urban renewal, energy management, and transportation that would be transferrable to other developed and developing countries. Both countries are known for sustainable development, renewable energy, and alternative transportation, and Stockholm won the inaugural Sustainable Cities award in 2010.
